(2-6-15) 12 Stones, Message to Venus, Estoria, and Illicit Ties
Where do I even begin? We were blessed for so many reasons at this show. It is hard to find a starting point. In the past,I remember Raymond talking about 12 Stones, and how much he liked them. Never, did the thought occur to me, that one day we would share the stage with them. But as it turns out, we did. Instead of walking you through all of the details, I am going to make you a list of blessings that occurred on that night.
1. We finally got to play on our home turf in Madison, AL
2. It was our first show playing at the 11th Frame. A place we have had our eyes set on for a long time.
3. We were added to the lineup that 12 Stones was headlining. (HUGE DEAL) for us. The show was also advertised on 95.1
4. We got to meet 12 Stones and build a new friendship with them. Which by the way, they are SUPER NICE guys!!!
5. We got to make new friends with the awesome, and fun members of Message to Venus and Illicit Ties.
6. For a lot of us, it was the first time our friends and family were able to make it out to a high quality, rock show.
7. We got the honor to perform "Bring Me To Life" with Paul McCoy of 12 Stones on stage that night. (Didn't know if he would do it until the moment he jumped on stage with us.)
8. We were able to build relationships with new fans, and friends that night.
9. We announced our new partnership with Vintage Soul, a Jewelry Company that has created their very own Estoria line.
10. We walked away from the show feeling validated as artists. We were so overwhelmed by the kind comments from the audience and from 12 Stones.
It was truly a night we will never forget. God answered so many of my prayers that night, from the tiniest to the largest. My favorite moment was watching Raymond rock out with his idol on Stage during "Bring Me To Life". Seeing his smile, and watching one of his dreams come true before my eyes was very surreal. My heart was so full. If there was any lesson that I took away from this show it was (Prayer Works) and (kindness goes a long way.) As a DIY band, there is usually a lot more heart ache than triumph, and very rarely do you see the fruits of your hard work. But all of the insanity from the past became worth it that night. God is so faithful and I tend to forget this truth more often than not unfortunately. God continues to open doors for Estoria, and it looks like 2015 is going to be one heck of a great year. Keep your eyes open for more exciting news and until next time, remember "ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE."
